President Nangolo Mbumba has extended warm wishes to followers of the Islamic faith in Namibia as they mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The occasion is known as Eid-al-Fitr, which is one of the two official holidays celebrated within the Islamic faith.

Activities include the festival of breaking the fast after a period of fasting, prayer, and reflection, which is a time of spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and compassion.

President Mbumba, in a statement, encouraged Namibians to extend a hand of support to those in need and to strive for better communities where all can live in dignity, embodying the true spirit of Eid-al-Fitr.
