The Miss Namibia and Miss Teen beauty pageants have now entered the final stage with the announcement of the ten finalists for both competitions.

The Miss Namibia Organisation announced the finalists at a glitzy two-day preliminary event held in Windhoek over the weekend.

The ten selected include women from diverse backgrounds.

Entries for the beauty extravaganza opened in March, and by the time it closed, a total of 102 entries were received for both pageants.

Following the close of entries, 20 semi-finalists were selected for each pageant.

Miss Teen Namibia will represent the country at the Miss Teen International 2025 competition, and Miss Namibia will represent the country at the Miss Universe pageant.

The first runner-up can only participate in the competition when the national winner is unable to.

“Namibian ladies, you can see on the stage what they are all about. They are all about quality, confidence, and being gorgeous. We are looking for girls that are mentally up to it because it takes a lot,” says Miss Namibia Organisation CEO, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi.

The organisation recently announced that the first and second runner-ups of Miss Namibia 2024 would not represent Namibia at any international stage.

This follows a decision by the Miss World Organisation that they will strictly enforce competition rules so that only the national winner will participate in the Miss World Beauty Festival.

The final crowning ceremony is expected to take place in July at a venue yet to be announced.
