Over 140 registration officials are attending training at Gobabis ahead of the general registration of voters, which will be held from June 3 to August 1.

The training will equip election officials with skills and educate them on their roles and responsibilities to better execute their duties without hindrances.

"In your roles as registration officials, you face challenges of different sorts, and you must mitigate this using all relevant legal and administrative tools at your disposal, but equally apply the necessary emotional intelligence in your interactions with electoral clients. A firm understanding of the legal framework, the electoral cycles, planning, logistics, and other concepts concerning electoral matters will make your lives easier and more seamless," said Omaheke Electoral Officer, Josef Amwaandi. "

Trainees are urged to conduct themselves in a professional manner.
