The Ombudsman, Basilius Dyakugha, has advised the leadership of the Gobabis Local Authority to respect administrative laws to avoid unnecessary infighting that could deprive residents of services.

Dyakugha stressed that it was high time that Gobabis local authority leadership set aside their differences and operated in a more coordinated manner, in the interest of the residents.

The Ombudsman reminded the officials that they are to be guided by laws and rules.

Gobabis Mayor Melba Tjozongoro acknowledges the challenges faced by the leadership when it comes to decision-making.
