The Ministry of Works and Transport says it is busy following up on information from various sources related to the reported stranded vessel.

The Deputy Executive Director of Transport, Jonas Sheelongo, says no official report has yet been received from the owner or any institution about the whereabouts of the vessel.

Sheelongo points out that maritime authorities are now verifying all the information before deciding on an appropriate course of action.

He also says reports about the missing member of the crew are also being investigated, promising that an official statement will soon be released.
