The Cabinet has directed the Ministry of Gender Equality, in consultation with the Ministry of Finance, to provide food relief for beneficiaries in urban areas under the Conditional Basic Income Grant Programme.

Among other resolutions taken by the Cabinet, approval has been given for the Judiciary Amendment Bill.

The Bill has been referred to the cabinet committee on legislation for further scrutiny before it is tabled in the National Assembly.

Cabinet has also granted approval for the Ministry of Mines and Energy to host a regional training course scheduled to take place from 7-11 October in Swakopmund.
