Dr. Hengari says Namibia's participation in the FOCAC summit has seen support in the development of various infrastructure projects.
From the 2021 FOCAC summit commitments, Namibia secured grant support for the construction of the Dr. Hage Geingob Freeway, the construction of four rural schools in Zambezi and the two Kavango regions with grant aid of N$343 million, as well as the Satellite Data Receiving Ground Station.
The Presidency says Namibia has also availed opportunities to Chinese companies to invest in various sectors, such as mining.
The FOCAC summit is expected to adopt a declaration and an action plan for 2025-2027.
Dr. Hengari says the Namibian government has submitted its input on the joint declaration already for consideration.
