The Swapo Party Fundraising Gala Dinner raised over N$16 million towards the November election campaign.

The funds came from pledges and the auctioning of valuable photos and paintings of the party's former leaders, including Founding President Sam Nujoma and the late President Hage Geingob.

"The victory of the party and that of our comrade Netumbo is our collective effort, and therefore we need you all to be there, even if you support with transport or staff to make sure our comrades are not hungry," said the party Secretary General Sofia Shaningwa.

Swapo Party's Vice President and Presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said with the funds, the party will be able to conduct its campaign in all fourteen regions after the launch of its manifesto on September 14th.

"Yes, we are going to launch it on 14 September. As of the 21st of this month, your vice president and presidential candidate before elections have gone to all fourteen regions, and that is going to be made possible by the outcome of today. Help us make that happen. All party members should also be on the foot doing door-to-door campaigns."

The theme of the party's campaign is Unity in Diversity, Natural Resources, Beneficiation, and Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development.
