The Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB) launched an Information Sharing Platform to enhance education and skills in the country.
The Information Sharing Platform website was launched in Windhoek today.
At the launch, the Executive Director for Talent, Innovation, and Productivity at NIPDB stated that their research indicates approximately 30,000 funding applications were received in 2023, of which about 20,000 were rejected.
Julia Muetudhana emphasized that the platform aims to address the critical challenges of limited access to information on bursaries, scholarships, and other funding opportunities available in the country.
The initiative also seeks to bridge the gap in access to information about opportunities for the youth.
The NIPDB plans to engage media houses and radio stations to raise awareness about this platform in remote areas of the country.
The website is now live and accessible to the public through the NIPDB website.
