The Endangered Language Association of Namibia consulted with individuals whose languages are endangered, particularly members of indigenous minorities.
A one-day workshop that took place in Eenhana engaged with members of the San community, teachers, and language experts to gather their insights on the proposed policy brief.
The Association aims to draft a policy brief for submission to the Ministry of Higher Education, Training, and Innovation, which will then be presented to the cabinet and parliament for approval in establishing a language development institute in Namibia.
