The Affirmative Repositioning (AR) Movement unveiled what it termed "a plan for Namibia" ahead of the general elections in November. 

The AR manifesto is focused on four key areas, namely decisive leadership aimed at building a strong leadership rooted in African cultures and traditions; creating a capable developmental state solving economic problems; a transparent political and judiciary system; and a social agenda towards a cohesive society providing safety nets.

Among the issues it promises to tackle is employment creation tax holidays, in which the private sector will enjoy a once-off tax holiday for one year when they create more than 100 new permanent jobs. 

The AR government also promises to review all agreements on natural resources signed since the country's independence to date, claiming that Namibia has been cheated in most economic deals signed during the said period. 

In addition, the Movement has also indicated that the AR-led government will introduce a one-year childbirth grant for every unemployed woman who gives birth, while also promising the exploration of exceptional circumstances grants for Namibians deserving assistance, such as individuals with multiple disabilities, unemployed women birthing quadruplets, as well as parents or guardians caring for more than 30 children under 16 years in one household. 

The party launched its first-ever manifesto in Katima Mulilo on Saturday.
