Swapo Party Vice President and presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said the party will ensure that its manifesto is implemented to improve the living standards of the citizens.
She made the assurance at the party's rally at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region.
Issues such as water scarcity, especially in remote rural areas, high unemployment rates, and lack of sports infrastructure are among the issues that will be addressed.
Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah said the Swapo Party will continue to strive for unparalleled development that speaks to the needs of the people.
"We are not saying everything is in order. We have a serious problem of unemployment in this country. And that is why we are saying we are ready to add value to our natural resources. In our manifesto, we have committed ourselves to creating jobs. 256,588 jobs that we are going to create in the next five years. And there will be a little budget for it. There will be a budget of N$85.7 billion. And I want to tell you, under my leadership, this is not a dream; this is a reality."
She called on the electorates to give the party another mandate, promising prompt service delivery from herself and those in leadership positions. She highlighted some government achievements in the Oshikoto Region.
