The City of Windhoek has announced that municipal tariffs have been increased by five percent since the 1st of October.
The increase relates to water, rates and taxes, sewerage, and waste management.
The municipality, in a public notice, says the increased tariffs were approved by the City Council on the 14th of June.
Tariffs on ambulance and fire brigade services have also gone up by five percent.
The tariff on industrial stalls and open trading areas has increased by six percent.
