The deadline for submitting comments on the drafted Consumer Protection Bill has been extended.
The Ministry of Industrialisation and Trade moved the new date from the 25th of October to the 25th of November this year.
The ministry has finalised the draft Consumer Protection Bill to ensure it aligns with the National Consumer Protection Policy.
The bill aims to safeguard and improve service delivery to consumers, promote ethical business practices, and establish mechanisms for effective grievance redressal.
The ministry has already held consultation workshops country-wide, which served as a crucial catalyst to expedite and improve the implementation process of the Consumer Protection Law.
