The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) will grant an opportunity to registered voters who have lost or damaged their voter cards to apply for duplicate cards between 18 and 26 November.
This will be done countrywide at polling stations.
The spokesperson of ECN De Wet Siluka emphasised that the commission will not register new voters but will only cater for reprinting lost or damaged cards.
"Duplicates are only issued to current voter card holders who might have lost, misplaced, or somehow damaged their cards. They will be given an opportunity to duplicate their cards."
Siluka also explained the requirements for the process. "You are supposed to submit a police declaration stating the circumstances in which the card was lost or damaged as well as a proof of identification."
He further urges the public to take advantage of these opportunities and go out in numbers.
Over 1.4 million eligible voters have registered to vote during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
