About 89 out-of-school vulnerable girls and young women from both Kavango regions who are part of the USAID Reach Namibia project underwent vocational training skills.
The students obtained their certificates.
The girls received vocational skills training in hospitality and solar equipment installation and maintenance.
The training was conducted over three to six months, depending on the course.
The vocational skills training initiative is part of the USAID Reach Namibia project's economic empowerment approach.
The training will improve the labour market trajectory and foster the girl's financial independence.
The graduates will be linked to internships and eventually supported to get formal employment or establish small-scale enterprises.
