The Keetmanshoop Municipality is on a mission to transform the town with a tree planting project aimed at enhancing its appearance and environment.
Mayor MacDonald Hanse says this initiative is about more than just planting trees—it's about planting hope for a greener, healthier, and more resilient Keetmanshoop.
Over 70 trees were planted along the major roads and parks, signalling the town's journey towards a vibrant and eco-conscious town.
Citing the town's average annual rain figure of 150 millimetres, the first citizen said the trees symbolise life, growth, and renewal.
The beautification project is aimed at transforming the town's image as host to the monument of Kaptain Hendrik Tseib, founder of the town.
Hanse invited the residents to support the beautification project to leave a lasting impact for future generations.
