The Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism has announced the appointment of five new board members to the Game Products Trust Fund.
These members will oversee the management and allocation of funds generated from game products and natural resources.
Their key responsibilities include supporting wildlife conservation initiatives, promoting the sustainable use of wildlife resources, mitigating human-wildlife conflict, and ensuring that local communities benefit from wildlife conservation efforts in Namibia.
The newly appointed board members are Colgar Sikopo, Mclesia Mbaisa, Doreen Saisai, Kandiwapa Amwele, and Thomas Muronga.
They will serve a three-year term from November 30, 2024, to October 30, 2027.
