The Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry is expected to host elective and non-elective extraordinary general meetings at branch levels across the country next month.
The announcement was made by its president at a press conference in Windhoek today.
Bissey |Uirab noted that the EGMs will provide an opportunity to elect business leaders and representatives for all of the chambers 29 branches.
He also added that the chambers are aware of branches that are either not functional or not operating optimally.
Which in turn he says hinders the private sector representation at local, regional, and national levels.
|Uirab revealed that they are committed to revitalising these branches by ensuring that each region has leadership in place to support local entrepreneurs and actively represent the business community.
The EGMs are expected to start on the 13th of February, and Namibian private and business sectors are to take part in the EGMs.
