The Namibian High Commission in Zambia was today a hive of activities as members of the African diplomatic corp accredited to Zambia visited it to show solidarity with their colleagues following the loss of the Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation.
The diplomats, led by Somalian Ambassador Hawa Hassan Mohamed, who is the current group chair for foreign missions, decided to spend their day at the Namibian High Commission in honour of the late President Sam Nujoma.
30 Mutende Road in the ordinarily quiet neighbourhood of Woodland, Lusaka, on Tuesday, awakened to the very busy schedule as the home to the Namibian High Commission was host to African diplomats who came to pay their respects at the mission.
They took turns to individually sign the book of condolences.
Staff at the Namibian High Commission were overwhelmed but humbled by this solidarity gesture.
