Kavango East Governor, Bonifatius Wakudumo says the region is ready to host its regional memorial service in honour of the late Founding President on Saturday. 

When the nbc News team visited the Rundu Sports Stadium on Friday, various people were getting the venue ready for this weekend’s proceedings. 

Wakudumo says transport is available for mourners who are coming from Mukwe, Ndiyona, Ndonga Linena, Mashare and Rundu Rural constituencies. 

The governor is encouraging residents from both Kavango East and West to come out in numbers to pay their last respects to the late founding president. 

He is also requesting bar owners who have businesses on the side of the road to stop trading during the period when the founding president’s remains are being driven around Rundu.
