San people living in Chetto in the Kongola Constituency of the Zambezi Region joined the rest of the country to say goodbye to the Founding President, who was buried in Windhoek on Saturday.
They shared messages of condolence, stating that, despite many of them not having met him, his presence remains felt and seen by the evident infrastructure and human rights they continue to enjoy in a free Namibia.
Many of them indicated how they wished they could have attended the burial in person to give them a chance to pay their last respects after not having attended the regional memorial.
They continued to give him credit for leading the liberation struggle in which Namibia's independence was attained, noting how relevant his role as a leader was.
