While the rain has been a blessing for some, it has brought devastation to others.
The City of Windhoek's Disaster Risk Management Division has confirmed three fatalities in just one night of heavy rain.
One of the deceased is a pensioner whose body has been recovered.
Another person was swept away while crossing a river, while the third person was attempting to drive through a flooded river before he was taken by strong currents.
His body was later discovered in a river that runs under a bridge in the area of Khomasdal.
The City of Windhoek has continuously sent out stern warnings about the dangers of flash floods and flooded rivers.
Despite these alerts, another life has been lost as flash floods continue to pose a serious threat.
The worst-hit areas are Otjomuise, where homes along the riverbeds have been submerged, as well as the Havana neighbourhood.
Authorities have cautioned drivers not to attempt to cross flooded rivers, as the currents are extremely strong and pose a serious risk to both vehicles and lives.
Residents are urged to remain alert and heed warnings.
