
The University of Bremen in Germany has partnered with the Windhoek VTC to train lecturers and instructors in the fields of solar and wind energy.
As part of this collaboration, the two institutions held a one-day workshop aimed at sharing knowledge, skills, and best practices.
To further equip trainers and enhance practical learning at Windhoek VTC, the University of Bremen has donated specialised equipment to the centre.
The donated equipment includes laboratory power supplies, hybrid charge controllers, educational circuit sets, dump loads, tool sets, inverters, and multimeters.
Professor Michael Gessler from the University of Bremen stated that this year, the university is primarily focused on fostering teamwork among lecturers and training them on how to assemble and maintain the equipment.
The WVTC Manager, Polli Andima, commended the University of Bremen for contributing to the Centre.
The two institutions have been collaborating for the past three years, exchanging skills and knowledge in strengthening their partnership.
