Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, visited Katutura Hospital to assess conditions and explore ways to enhance service delivery.

During her visit, Dr. Luvindao interacted with patients and healthcare staff to gather firsthand insights about their experiences and the challenges they faface.8

Patients raised concerns about long wait times and a shortage of doctors, which contribute to an overwhelming patient load.

The visit also allowed healthcare personnel to voice their concerns, particularly regarding patient care and their working conditions.

Having previously worked at Onandjokwe Hospital, Dr. Luvindao recognized the mental and physical strain experienced by medical staff.

The minister pledged to collaborate closely with stakeholders to tackle urgent issues and ensure a more efficient and effective public healthcare system.
