Windhoek West Constituency Councillor Emma Muteka has announced the results of the furniture renovation project supported by the |Khomas Regional Council, highlighting its dedication to enhancing craftsmanship.

Launched last year, this initiative aims to tackle the urgent shortage of chairs and desks in schools throughout the region.

The project involved collecting used furniture from various schools, which was then expertly restored by motivated technical students from Pioneers Boys School.

During the handover ceremony, Councillor Muteka emphasized the importance of resourcefulness in overcoming challenges.

She commended the initiative for revitalizing old school furniture while also equipping learners with practical vocational skills, thus investing in both education and the future of the nation.

A total of eleven schools will benefit from this collaborative effort between Pioneers Boys School and the Windhoek Vocational Training Centre.
