The Minister of Justice and Labour Relations, Wise Immanuel, has called for a transformative approach to public service.
He emphasized that all actions within the public sector must prioritize service to citizens and challenge the status quo.
Minister Immanuel urged employees to fully commit themselves to delivering effective and proper service.
He described the time now as a "new dawn" in leadership for Namibia, outlining a bold vision for transforming Namibia's public service.
Immanuel underscored the urgent need for a new kind of leadership to address today's complex challenges.
Central to his strategy are three key pillars: self-definition, service centrism, and exponential leadership.
Speaking during a staff meeting, Immanuel stressed the importance of teamwork in establishing the merged ministry as a household name in Namibia and positioning it as an employer of choice within the public service.
Exponential leadership requires that we break away from the tradition within the confinement of policies.
He further emphasized that all employees must ensure that their strategic plans are current and fulfill their mandates, roles, and responsibilities.
Immanuel also encouraged employees to proactively seek support when resources are limited to find amicable and sustainable solutions.
The Minister's leadership coincides with broader national shifts under President Nandi-Ndaitwah's administration, which has been characterized as a "new era" for Namibia.
