The legacies of the late Founding President of Namibia, Dr. Sam Nujoma, and the late President Dr. Hage Geingob were honoured in Lusaka through the renaming of two major roads: Sadzu Road and Kasama Road, respectively.

At the unveiling, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah praised the gestures as a sign of enduring friendship, solidarity, and strong bilateral relations.

Trees were also planted in tribute to both Dr. Sam Nujoma and Dr. Hage Geingob. President Nandi-Ndaitwah said this also reflects Dr. Nujoma’s tradition of planting trees every year.

Former First Lady Monica Geingos noted that the renaming fulfilled a promise made by President Hakainde Hichilema, honouring the unity and shared sacrifice of both leaders.
