To boost small and medium enterprises, the Tobias Hainyeko constituency office has donated business equipment to eighteen entrepreneurs valued at N$277,000. 

 The businesses funded are fashion design, welding services, bakeries, fitness gyms, butchery, catering, and beautification services.

 The donation is done through the |Khomas Regional Council's Income Generating Activity programme to fight poverty in the region by providing a budget towards the SME sector.

The councillor of the Moses ||Garoëb constituency. Stefanus Ndengu, on behalf of the Tobias Hainyeko constituency, emphasised that the donation was to assist small businesses in their efforts to be self-employed and create employment for others.

"This equipment and materials are given to you so that you can improve your business operations and grow. As you were empowered, do the same in the community by employing others so that it improves their livelihood, thereby decreasing the unemployment and the poverty level in our constituency, in the region and in the country."

One of the beneficiaries, Yekonia Shangheta, commended the Tobias Hainyeko Office for the donation. 

Since the inception of this programme, the constituency has assisted over 180 projects.
