Tuyakula Haipinge, the Bureau Executive Director in the Office of the Prime Minister, emphasized the importance of access to quality healthcare, calling it a fundamental human right.

Speaking at the handover of medical equipment from various contributors, Haipinge noted that the government prioritizes effective, timely, safe, and people-centered healthcare to safeguard the lives and dignity of all citizens.

Quality healthcare services have consistently been a critical issue and remain central to Namibia's developmental agenda.

The Chinese Embassy donated medical equipment valued at N$ 350,000, while Element Medical Suppliers contributed essential items worth N$ 265,000. Additionally, local resident Alma Kahongoro donated various clothing items.

Haipinge urged all stakeholders and business leaders to emulate the generosity of these donors, placing the value of human life above all else.

Speaking on behalf of Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare, she acknowledged the essential role that development partners and private donors play in bolstering government efforts to strengthen healthcare systems and facilities.

Such support is vital for achieving national objectives, including Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Chinese Embassy Minister Counsellor Shen Jian reiterated that the healthcare sector is a national priority and a key focus of China's development assistance and cooperation with Namibia.

The donated items also included mattresses, heaters, and clothing.
