Ambassador and Patron of the Miss Namibia 2025 pageant, Adelheid Nangolo, has called on locals to support the event by purchasing tickets.
The contest will take place this weekend at the Ongwediva Trade Fair grounds – the first time the pageant is being hosted in northern Namibia.
Nangolo says local support is critical to ensuring the successful hosting of the event. She commended the nbc for providing a platform for young women, saying it promotes empowerment, social responsibility and values.
"I am feeling very proud to be chosen as this year's patron. It has been a transformative journey for the pageant as we also took them through various traditional norms during their visit to the north. As the crowning day fast approaches, I am calling on all Namibians to come out in numbers to support the pageant by purchasing tickets," Nangolo said.
She also encouraged participants to be emotionally prepared, reminding them that although only one person will be crowned, all finalists should be proud of themselves.
"Like the person who will be crowned will walk away with a lot of tangible gifts including a house, car and others, and will be sponsored by a lot of companies. As a patron, I will still look for more assistance for the winner. I want to advise those who don't make it not to feel sad—you can keep trying your luck and maybe one day you will win. All the best to all of our contestants," she said.
Tickets are available at nbc Oshakati, Model Stores, Execu Specs at Oshana Mall, Hotel Destiny and Web Tickets. VIP tickets cost N$1,500, general tickets N$500, and a table for ten is priced at N$15,000.
