The Namibia Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors handed over certificates to 17 architects and quantity surveyors.
This will enable them to become registered professionals in their respective fields.
The handing over of these certificates marks a major milestone for the graduates in successfully passing their assessment of professional competence.
Vice President of the Council for Architects and Quantity Surveyors, Charlene Awaseb, congratulated the new graduates and encouraged them to deliver their work with integrity.
"To our newly registered quantity surveyors, your skill lies in balancing budgets, managing resources, and delivering value. It's a call that demands precision, integrity, and pride in financial accountability. So today, we celebrate your achievement, but we also remind you of your duty. Maintain the integrity of your profession, respect the public's trust, and always remember that your competence must align with your conduct. On behalf of the Namibia Council of Architects and Quantity Surveyors, we congratulate you. You've earned your place as professionals, and we are proud of you."
The Director of Capital Project Management, Kalo Paulina, encouraged the graduates to apply their skills to serve the needs of society.
"We are saying to the graduates, those who have received this certificate of competence, just as he said, competence with attitudes, competence with behaviour, competence with conduct, and competence with participation. That is the most important. So, to the graduates, this is the best opportunity. You have acquired what was required of you. Now, as responsible citizens and professionals, you are stepping into the market to ensure the attainment of societal requirements."
