The Governor of ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze, has encouraged the region's inhabitants to participate in the regional clean-up exercise set for Friday.
The clean-up campaign spearheaded by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism is part of the government's efforts to promote environmental cleanliness and improve public health nationally.
"The impact of a clean environment for human health cannot be overstated. It is fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of our future generation. This campaign is designed for inclusivity, meaning that we need to include each and every living creature who is a resident of Keetmanshoop and a resident of this region to participate fully to ensure that every segment of our society, from urban centres to our most rural areas, participates in this vital endeavour across all seven constituencies and settlements."
Gertze highlighted that the regional clean-up campaign is a collective effort that also requires the private sector's support.
When asked about the region's readiness for the clean-up exercise, Gertze had this to say.
