The ||Kharas Swapo Party Women's Council hosted a one-day leadership and business skills training event – empowering women entrepreneurs in the ||Kharas Region.
The Minister of Health and Social Services, Esperance Luvindao, who served as a motivational speaker, encouraged the training participants to overcome societal-set barriers and venture into lucrative business.
Dr. Luvindao further committed to offering free assistance to help with the grant funding application process.
The minister also seized the opportunity to encourage victims of gender-based violence to come forward and speak out.
The Swapo Party Women's Council Regional Coordinator for ||Kharas, Shipola Shihepo noted empowered women are key drivers of the country's development.
"Our foremothers fought not only for independence but also for equality and recognition. And today is our turn to build the legacy by learning, creating and transforming. Comrades, as we empower ourselves here today, we must remember the broader context of leadership and service," says Swapo Party Regional Coordinator for the ||Kharas Region, Shipola Shihepo.
