The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts & Culture (MEIYSAC) has reiterated its commitment to uplifting Namibia's creative sector.

Deputy Minister Dino Ballotti vowed to strengthen support for artists and industry players.

Speaking at the 8th Simply You Magazine Lifestyle and Fashion Awards (SYMLAF) held over the weekend, Ballotti commended the event for showcasing Namibian talent and creativity, describing it as a platform that reflects the nation's artistic growth.

"Our creative industry is stretching beyond borders. And honestly, we have just touched the surface, and the world is going to know us. As I go to a close this evening, I call on every Namibian in every office with air conditioning and without that blue building in Olympia, as well as our very own government office park, to treat this as a movement where this is not merely a nice-to-have sector, but one that demands the attention it so much deserves. And as a government, we need to further create the spaces for creatives where dreams truly can come alive. It starts with the dreamers in this very room, and I'm most inspired by all of you. So let's commit to doing more for creativity for young people for Namibia; where Namibia shines, the world pays attention. OUT:
