The Electoral Commission of Namibia’s regional office in the Oshikoto Region has begun deploying 11 teams to operate across various constituencies and polling venues in preparation for special voting, scheduled for 24 November.

Oshikoto Regional Electoral Officer Ester Hipangelwa stated that polling stations will be open from 09:00 to 19:00 on Monday to allow authorised eligible voters, election officials, and uniformed personnel to cast their votes.

She emphasised that no vote counting will take place on 24 November, as the ballots will be secured at the police station until the actual election on 26 November.

Hipangelwa added that special voting will primarily take place at constituency offices and a few designated polling venues.
