The development of the National Digital Monitoring and Evaluation dashboard is at an advanced stage.
The dashboard will enable real-time performance tracking, improved data access and enhanced evidence-based decision-making across government institutions.
The National Planning Commission (NPC) announced this in a media statement regarding their key highlights under the 8th Administration.
The commission says monitoring and evaluation remain cornerstones of Namibia's development planning architecture.
With the formulation of the 6th National Development Plan (NDP6) and its Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation Plan, the commission coordinated the first interim progress report covering seven priority sectors.
NPC further says NDP6 was a key milestone in manifesting the aspirations of the 8th Administration into a national policy document.
The commission is mandated to strengthen sectoral planning and budget alignment, and its development budget totals N$11,8 billion for the current financial year.
Of that amount, N$9,6 billion is funded from government-generated revenue and N$2,2 billion from development assistance.
At the end of November, the executed budget stood at 48%.
Furthermore, NPC coordinated development partnerships and mobilised resources under the multilateral cooperation division; its engagement with the Namibia-European Union ended with the EU committing a million euros towards different developmental projects.
The commission also concluded annual bilateral consultations with China, which yielded significant progress across major grant-funded projects.
The statement highlighted the success of the Namibia Public-Private Forum and Development Partners Forum with outcomes of mainstreaming youth employment and the establishment of presidential task forces to identify bottlenecks, address constraints, and unlock Namibia's development potential.
