The Oranjemund Town Council has commended the Road Fund Administration for its efforts to improve staff welfare, enhance operational efficiency, and support sustainable local development.
Councillor Roseline Mathys made the remarks at the official handover of RFA staff housing units in Oranjemund.
The Road Fund Administration invested N$10.2 million in the construction of five houses.
"Such investment speaks to an institution that values its people as the backbone of service delivery. Adequate and well-planned accommodation is a critical enabler of productivity, staff morale and retention, particularly in remote and strategic operational areas such as Oranjemund. "
Also speaking at the housing handover ceremony, RFA Chief Financial Officer Elvis Kambatuku said the houses will benefit colleagues on the ground while also strengthening the institution’s financial position.
He explained that once the assets are reflected on the balance sheet, the RFA can secure bank loans, which will then be reinvested into road construction and maintenance through the Roads Authority, as well as infrastructure development under NaTIS.
