Dam water levels have increased across key dams following recent rainfall in catchment areas.
Updated figures by Namwater indicate a positive response to recent precipitation with Swakoppoort Dam, which saw its water levels rise by 0.796 million cubic metres.
The water levels increased by 0.321 million cubic metres at Von Bach Dam, 0.210 million cubic metres at Hardap Dam, 0.282 million cubic metres at Naute Dam, and 0.259 million cubic metres at Oanob Dam.
Swakopport Dam received the most significant increase, from 80.6% to 81.9% of its full capacity. Von Bach Dam also showed a steady increase from 82.0% to 82.5% of its full capacity.
Hardap Dam, the country's largest reservoir, grew by 0.321 million cubic meters, putting it at 57.3% of its full capacity.
Naute Dam is at 82%, while Oanob Dam currently sits at 63.3%.
NamWater continues to monitor inflows and reservoir levels closely, as further rainfall could impact dam management and water release schedules.
