At least four babies were recorded as being born on Christmas Day in Windhoek, one of the most significant days on the Christian calendar.

Two babies, a boy and a girl, were born at the Windhoek Central Hospital, while another two babies were recorded at Katutura Maternity Ward.

The mothers expressed gratitude and joy for the safe arrival of their newborns.

A registered nurse at the Windhoek Central Hospital confirmed that both babies born at the facility were healthy.

The nurse reported no premature births or complications, and both mothers and babies were in stable condition.

When the NBC News team visited the Rhino Park Hospital earlier in the day, no births had been recorded at the facility.
