"By supporting education, we are investing in the future of our community and nation. As the saying goes, "Education is a three-legged pot; it requires the efforts of learners, parents and educators to succeed."
Mbambazi Primary School principal Obert Simasiku highlighted the challenges faced by parents since the COVID-19 pandemic.
"From COVID, where we are, it's a tourism attraction area, and tourism did not do well during COVID. A lot of our parents here were laid off from the small income that they were getting, so uniforms and school needs become a challenge."
Simasiku detailed that donations were received for a total of 75 learners, adding that now every learner has a school uniform.
Learner Tumelo Sanadwa spoke on behalf of his peers.
"This support means a lot to us; this uniform will help us come to school neatly and confidently every day. I promise to study hard, behave well and make my teachers and parents proud."
Chrispin Sanadwa, a parent, expressed gratitude.
"I am one of the parents whose child received the uniform. I am truly grateful for this kind gesture, because I am faced with many challenges."
