Nepal floods leave communities homeless as volunteers race to deliver aid 

Severe flooding in Nepal has left communities without homes, food and other basic necessities, as volunteers work to provide emergency relief.

Madan Nath Yogi, a volunteer with the National Volunteer Force set with Aljazeera describes efforts to deliver food and medical assistance while helping residents clear mud and debris from damaged homes.

Yogi attributes the severity of the disaster to global climate change and warming linked to industrialised nations, and calls for greater international solidarity and financial assistance for Nepal.

The floods have caused widespread destruction, highlighting the vulnerability of communities facing increasingly severe climate-related disasters.
