The Business Financial Solutions and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, in partnership with Latvia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and RIGA Business School, are hosting a Female Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for young girls in Windhoek.
Themed "She Rebuilds the World," the training aims to bring young women under one roof in an effort to help them grow and build sustainable businesses and contribute to the growth of micro, small and medium enterprises in the country.
"To each and every one of you here today, you have a chance to change the Namibian landscape. Start growing sustainably. The key word is 'sustainable'. I would like to come to each of your doors and see that you are being sustainable," said Nankelo Amupadhi, NIPDB Manager for MSME Business Advisory Service.
Kauna Ndilula, Managing Director of Business Financial Solutions, had some words of encouragement for the participants.
"I really want to encourage you as you are here joined by experts who want to share with you some of the tips that will make you stronger and more competitive, and I am trusting that you have the learning attitude."
Zandile Njamela, an expert on the subject of inclusion and diversity who has worked across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, was the guest speaker at the event.
"That is why it says 'She rebuilds'; it is that multiplying effect that one dollar can change or multiply. That is the multiplication of one dollar. That is what is entrusted to you to do, now that you are spending your time here."
The young women will go through a three-day training period.
