The school management team at C. Ngatjizeko Primary School in Omaheke's Otjinene Constituency is striving to raise funds through various activities to address the shortage of classrooms.

Speaking at the 60-year celebration of the school at Otjinene, the principal, Magdalene Muniaro, said to cater for the ever-increasing numbers of registered learners each year, they had to introduce a platoon system, which she says is not ideal for learning.

Muniaro said the school management coined the idea to source funds to aid in the building of extra classrooms and urged stakeholders to come to their aid.

"We let our learners dream and allow them to chase their dreams, guided by a committed team of dedicated educators who, at times, become the learners' caregivers."

She revealed that the Embassy of Japan has come to their aid with the construction of two classrooms.

The school's board chairperson, Tjiritja Kandirikirira, called on parents and private entities to assist the school in the envisaged project.

The C. Ngatjizeko Primary School has a student population of 1,135 and 37 teachers.
