Retired Kaisames FM Manager Rafael Felix von Schach's memorial service will be held at the St. Mary Cathedral Church in Windhoek this Friday. He will be buried on Saturday at the Oponganda cemetery.

Von Schach, who died in Windhoek at the age of 69, served the national broadcaster for 35 years in various roles, starting as a producer and translator in Windhoek.

He was shortly thereafter transferred to Khorixas as a senior producer, where he worked for 16 years before being promoted to an executive producer position in 1995.

In 2012, von Schach was appointed manager of Kaisames, then known as Radio Damara/Nama, taking over the mantle from Florence Haifeni.

He worked in this position for one year and retired in 2014.
