Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba is humbled by the decision to name the new Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security Headquarters after him.

Pohamba has been honored as the founding minister of the Home Affairs Ministry following Namibia's independence.

President Geingob described the naming as fair, given Pohamba's role as founding minister and later as second president.
