The SWAN Assembly Trust Chairperson says his fellow Partners are doing their utmost best to create a sustainable environment by making an impact on the lives and livelihoods of vulnerable members of urban and rural communities. This is despite the economic hardships and other challenges facing the Organization.

Jonathan Maswahu was speaking at the Graduation Ceremony of the community empowerment skills program at Walvisbay on Wednesday.

Swan Assembly Trust is a non-profit organization that aims to equip the youth and the community at large with training and spearhead capacity-building courses to empower members of the community with Life skills training that will enable them to become more responsible and effective members of their community.  

Since 2012, the trust, through the Flamingo Group in Sweden and Kuisebmond Secondary School has availed itself in serving those who are affected by social ills in the harbour town.

According to Maswahu over 2300 learners have benefited with an annual once-off fee of N$ 1000.

In 2020 they assisted learners who were victims of a fire tragedy at Otweya formally known as Twaloloka with an amount of N$50 000.
