The Oshivelo Farm has become one of the largest employers at the Oshivelo Settlement.

The farm mainly employs the marginalized San community, who are the majority of inhabitants in the area.

The operations start with planting and harvesting on the farm and end with packaging and selling at the shop.

Erika Auchomas, who has been employed at the farm for about 10 years, says that she has been able to feed her family from the salary and from the free vegetables that employees get for free at the farm.

Locals and travelers alike flock to the shop to stock up on carrots, onions, beets, and butternut.

Martin Cronje, the Sales and Marketing Manager, says that the farm is contributing to the nation's food security as they sell their vegetables at market value and do not add a markup in hopes of high-profit margins.

The farm is strategically located at the Oshivelo Settlement, just a stone's throw away from the police checkpoint. The location is ideal due to its proximity to the road but also because it is at the entry to the northern regions, making it accessible to most travelers.
