Over the coming weeks, traffic volumes are expected to increase as the school calendar resumes and most people return home from the holidays. 

The Motor Vehicle Accidents Fund is thus cautioning road users to adhere to road regulations.

MVA Fund CEO Rosalia Martin-Hausiku says motorist behavior has improved since the previous holiday season.

Injuries and fatalities have declined compared to previous years.

Influencing the improved statistics are factors such as intensified road campaigns and better coordination among stakeholders.

Though statistically lower, the MVA Fund says destruction on the road remains too high.
