Hundreds of job seekers flocked to the Keetmanshoop Urban Constituency Office this morning, hoping to secure a position at the N$28 million Road Authority Weigh Bridge construction project.

Keetmanshoop Urban Constituency Regional Councillor Joseph Isaack addressed the job seekers on how the job selection for the project would be done.

He explained his office will source Nexus Building Contractor, which was the successful bidder for the project, with company profiles from which it will select subcontractors.

Those subcontracting companies, he added, will then hire workers from a list of jobseekers that will be provided by his office.

According to him, Nexus Building Contractors indicated that it would only employ about 20 workers, as subcontracting companies will have their own employees.
